NextDecade Asks FERC to Take Action on Rio Grande LNG Project

US-based liquefied natural gas developer NextDecade Corp. requested the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to respond to a court’s remand of Rio Grande LNG export project on the agenda for meeting this month, the company said in a letter addressed to FERC Chairman Willie Phillips.

• NOTE: FERC granted approval for Rio Grande LNG project in 2019, but the US Court of Appeals for DC Circuit remanded the regulatory body in 2021 to review impact of the projects
