New York Sues Trump Administration Over Empire Wind Pause (1)

New York state sued the Trump administration Friday, alleging it violated federal law when it suspended work last month on Equinor ASA’s Empire Wind project.

In the suit, the state alleges the federal government violated the Administrative Procedure Act partly because the stop work order for the offshore wind farm doesn’t give a “reasoned explanation” for the suspension or explain why the Department of Interior and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management changed their positions regarding the project.
