The New York attorney general launched an investigation into the Exxon Mobil Corp. disclosures on climate change, over concerns the company may have misled the public or investors about the risks of burning fossil fuels.
The company confirmed to Bloomberg BNA Nov. 5 that is has received a subpoena from the attorney general asking for certain documents related to climate change.
During a news teleconference later, Ken Cohen, the company’s vice president of public and government affairs, said it was a “broad subpoena” concerning the company’s involvement with the subject of climate change, but he would not provide more details. ...
