A coalition of environmental groups filed three separate lawsuits against New York and New Jersey Tuesday for greenlighting a natural gas pipeline that crosses through both states.
Environmentalists in the past argued the pipeline plan hasn’t significantly changed since the states earlier denied water quality permits for the project. New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation and New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection both approved the water permits Nov. 7.
