The EPA proposed on Monday a new approach to choosing and analyzing toxicity, exposure and other information about chemicals to decide whether they pose unreasonable risks that would trigger regulations to protect human health or the environment.
The draft Toxic Substances Control Act “Systematic Review Protocol,” explains how the Environmental Protection Agency would select, examine, and weigh the scientific studies it would use to evaluate chemicals as the law requires.
