New Jersey Officially on Board to Phase Out Gas Cars by 2035 (1)

New Jersey on Tuesday became the latest state pledging to phase out the sale of new gasoline-powered cars in coming years after a push from environmentalists.

The Advanced Clean Cars II rule, to be published in the New Jersey Register on Dec. 18, will require all new cars, pickup trucks, and SUVs sold in the state to be zero emission by 2035, according to a statement from New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) and state Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Shawn LaTourette.
