A bipartisan pair of House lawmakers rolled out a bill on Monday that aims to invest significantly in clean energy infrastructure.
The Clean Energy Future Through Innovation Act of 2020 will quickly reduce carbon emissions, pour investment into a better energy system, and boost the economy by sparking new technologies, Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.), one of the bill’s sponsors, said in a statement. It targets an 80% carbon dioxide emissions reduction from the power sector by 2050.
