New Hampshire plans to cease its vehicle emission inspection program without receiving the required approval from the Environmental Protection Agency, a new lawsuit claims.
The state passed legislation this year to wind down a motor vehicle inspection and maintenance program despite New Hampshire remaining a part of a multi-state ozone transport region with stricter federal emission requirements, according to the complaint filed Monday.
