New Hampshire Power Line Rebuild Draws Suit From Ratepayers (1)

New Hampshire property owners and retail ratepayers claimed in a new suit that an estimated $400 million power line rebuild and expansion project should follow the process laid out by federal law to ensure there won’t be any resulting discriminatory rates.

“The project costs will have a substantial impact on the transmission costs to all New Hampshire retail ratepayers who receive electricity on Eversource transmission facilities,” the plaintiffs told the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire on Aug. 16.
