Residents of Nantucket, Mass. and several trade groups say federal agencies violated environmental laws in approving the New England Wind offshore project, according to a complaint filed Tuesday.
The Department of Commerce, Department of the Interior, and several subagencies failed to adequately study how the construction of turbines off the coast of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard will harm the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale, groups told the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
