New Climate Resilience, Chemicals Hires Join White House Office

Two veteran policy experts joined the White House’s climate and energy team on Wednesday, bringing new leadership to the Biden administration’s resilience and chemical safety efforts.

The new staffers add muscle to the Council on Environmental Quality, a small office that has gained influence inside President Joe Biden’s White House. Under Chair Brenda Mallory, CEQ has asserted a lead role in a wide range of issues, from environmental justice to carbon capture.
