New Brunswick Awards Environmental Project Grants

New Brunswick’s Environmental Trust Fund has awarded grants of C$6.5 million ($5 million) to be paid this fiscal year to more than 200 projects meant to protect the environment, manage waste and address climate change, Environment and Local Government Minister Brian Kenny said May 11. Awardees include projects dealing with sustainable food production, environmental sustainability and education, carbon offset research, mitigation of climate change, carbon storage in working lands, wildlife health and watershed stewardship.
