Nestle, Unilever Join EU Nations on Voluntary Plastic Recycling

Thirteen EU member states and more than 60 companies, including Nestle S.A. and Unilever PLC, signed a pact Friday to use recycled plastic for all plastic packaging and single-use plastic products by 2025.

The voluntary agreement also sets a 2025 target for increasing plastic collection, sorting and recycling capacity in each of the 13 countries by at least 25 percent, and calls for a move away from plastic packaging completely.
