Nearly 300 rotten egg smell complaints in just three months led to a $3.72 million settlement for an Ohio landfill accused of violating state environmental laws.
The Sunny Farms Landfill LLC in Fostoria, Ohio, has agreed to pay $1.71 million in civil penalties and $2.01 million for other fees, the Ohio Attorney General’s Office announced July 26.
