The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued certificates on Thursday for four natural gas projects that had been abruptly struck from the agenda during a previous public meeting.
The commission approved projects submitted by Port Arthur LNG in Texas and Venture Global Calcasieu Pass in Louisiana. It also approved pipeline extensions submitted by Northern Natural Gas Co. and Texas Eastern Transmission.
The gas agenda items had been closely watched after the four commissioners couldn’t reach a deal to approve the projects at its July meeting, leaving the projects in limbo.
