A revised class action that seeks information about the health effects of two PFAS will remain in the federal district court that partly granted the plaintiff’s request in 2022.
The clerk for the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation announced via a text order on Thursday that Hardwick v. 3M Company is “not appropriate for inclusion” in a nationwide case consolidating thousands of water utility, personal injury, and other claims against companies that made per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) or a type of fire suppressant that has long contained some of those chemicals.
