Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC is suing two sets of environmental protestors for allegedly blocking access to a portion of its more-than-300-mile natural gas pipeline that’s currently under construction.
“Rather than abide by the statutes and court rulings authorizing completion of the project, defendants are determined to stop the work by unlawful means,” MVP told the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia on Monday in two separate complaints.
The company said it has a certificate from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to construct and operate the pipeline from Wetzel County, W.Va. to Pittsylvania County, Va.
