Mountain Valley Pipeline Challenges Fall at US Appeals Court (2)

A federal appeals court on Friday threw out a suite of lawsuits challenging the completion of the Mountain Valley Pipeline.

The US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruling cited a Fiscal Responsibility Act provision inserted by Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) as compelling the court’s decision.

The June legislation stripped the court of jurisdiction to consider the environmental groups’ petitions or their arguments about the law’s constitutionality.
