A federal court should add four more diseases to its list of ones that can result from PFAS exposure, according to documents filed recently in national litigation about fire suppressants made with those chemicals.
Plaintiffs’ asked the court on Wednesday to add liver and thyroid cancer to four diseases—kidney and testicular cancer, thyroid disease, and ulcerative colitis—that the US District Court for the District of South Carolina already is considering in In Re Aqueous Film-Forming Foams Products Liability Litigation MDL 2873.
