Montana Logging Project Sent to Forest Service for More Review

Though the US Forest Service and Fish and Wildlife Service made gains in a case challenging Montana logging project approvals, conservation groups were able to get a federal court to remand the suit.

Judge Dana L. Christensen of the US District Court for the District of Montana said Thursday that he was adopting all of the recommendations made by Magistrate Judge Kathleen L. DeSoto in March, which suggested both parties be granted summary judgment on different issues.
