Mississippi Solar Panel Manufacturers Now Eligible for Major Economic Impact Incentives

Mississippi amended its Major Economic Impact Act to include solar panel manufacturing as a project eligible for exemptions from franchise tax and sales and use tax.

To be eligible for the incentives under S.B. 3189, a solar panel manufacturer must have received an investment of at least $132 million by Dec. 31, 2015, from sources other than Mississippi state or local governments.
