Matthew Tejada has joined the Environmental Protection Agency as director of the Office of Environmental Justice.
Tejada began work at the agency March 11. He previously worked as the executive director of Air Alliance Houston, an environmental and public health organization in Texas.
“Mr. Tejada brings to the job strong management expertise, strategic vision and extensive experience working with local organizations, government agencies and businesses to find solutions that reduce pollution in overburdened communities,” EPA told BNA in a statement March 14.
