Maria Korsnick Named Nuclear Energy Institute’s New CEO

The Nuclear Energy Institute named Maria Korsnick, the nuclear industry association’s current chief operating officer, as its next president and CEO, starting Jan. 1, 2017.

Korsnick will replace Marvin Fertel, who is retiring on Dec. 31 after nine years as president and CEO.

Don Brandt, chairman of the organization’s board, announced Korsnick’s appointment in a Oct. 4 video on Twitter. “She will drive the organization’s effectiveness at a challenging and exciting time,” Brandt said.
