Maine Transmission Line Water Permit Appeal Dropped Voluntarily

Environmental groups dropped their appeal in their challenge to a Clean Water Act permit granted for a power transmission line expected to cut through the Western Maine Mountains.

The parties on Sept. 22 moved for voluntary dismissal of the appeal, which the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit granted Wednesday.
