Maine to Put its Muscle Behind Offshore Wind Power

Maine will rev up development of offshore wind power, including a floating offshore project already underway, the governor announced June 19.

Maine has great untapped potential for offshore wind power, and it will help the state meet its aggressive clean energy goals to encourage the siting of offshore projects, Gov. Janet Mills (D) said.

“Our state has the potential to lead the world in floating offshore wind,” Mills said.
