A Louisiana municipality fired back at community advocates in pollution-burdened “Cancer Alley” on Wednesday in an opening response brief in an appeal to resurrect civil rights claims.
St. James Parish told the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit that community leaders still don’t have standing to bring the case or adequate legal remedies available for their claims.
