Louisiana is free to determine what is admissible air quality evidence in enforcement proceedings, according to a new brief in litigation over the state’s 2024 community air monitoring law.
RISE St. James and other advocacy groups sued the state in May over the Louisiana Community Air Monitoring Reliability Act, or CAMRA, which they argue violates their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights as well as the Clean Air Act.
