A scrap metal company in Los Angeles must immediately prevent projectiles from being launched onto a nearby school campus, after a state court granted a temporary restraining order Wednesday.
The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office sued S&W Atlas Iron & Metal Co. on April 8., alleging its operations put students and staff at nearby Jordan High School in danger.
The facility launches metal fragments onto the school campus, emits noxious fumes, maintains dangerously high piles of scrap metal, and makes harassing noise, the complaint said.
