The American Forest Resource Council is asking the Supreme Court to weigh in and determine the powers of the White House to declare national monuments under the Antiquities Act.
If the court takes the case, it will affect the president’s ability to unilaterally re-purpose Congressionally-mandated public land management practices to protect federal lands as national monuments.
