An Alabama lobbyist who worked with a law firm to dispute the EPA’s findings at a Superfund site will get another chance to show the firm was responsible for misrepresenting the legality of the arrangement, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled.
David Roberson, a former lobbyist and vice president at Drummond Co., was convicted along with a former partner at Balch & Bingham LLP in a Superfund bribery scheme. Former state Rep. Oliver L. Robinson Jr. was also convicted for the scheme, which centered around opposition to the Environmental Protection Agency’s actions regarding a site near Birmingham.
