A federal judge ordered the Biden administration and plaintiffs in the ambitious “kids’ climate case” to enter a mediation process to try to settle the dispute out of court.
“I do believe this case is in a position—given many things that have intervened in the year this case was on appeal and changes that have taken place legally and in the world—that it’s a moment in time that I think people should take advantage of,” Judge Ann Aiken said Thursday during a status conference.
