A group of eight states, led by Louisiana, and two gas trade associations want a California judge to put his order vacating a Trump-era Clean Water Act rule on hold pending their appeal in the Ninth Circuit.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers already paused permit approvals, which delayed “critical infrastructure and vital maintenance and repair projects,” the group told the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. This disruption is “not in the public interest,” the filing says.
