The Trump administration scored a win against young people in Montana’s federal district court challenging executive orders to accelerate fossil fuel production, with the plaintiffs quickly promising to appeal Wednesday’s ruling dismissing their case.

Plaintiffs from across the US failed to establish standing in their bid to show that the roster of executive orders declaring an energy emergency and bolstering fossil fuel use infringe on their constitutional rights to life, according to Judge Dana L. Christensen of the US District Court for the District of Montana.
