Judge Sides with States Challenging DOE’s Project Funding Cap

A judge ruled the Energy Department’s move to limit the amount of project funding that can go toward administrative costs is illegal, multiple state attorneys general offices said Tuesday, giving a win to states that sued the US government over the limitations.

Judge Mustafa Kasubhai of the US District Court for the District of Oregon in a bench ruling found the DOE went against the Administrative Procedure Act in instating the limit, according to press releases from both the Connecticut and California attorneys general offices.
