Iran Says Turkmenistan Has Suspended Gas Swap with Azerbaijan

Iran said Turkmenistan has halted gas supply to the country, a move that has disrupted the flow of gas from Iran to Azerbaijan under a three-way swap agreement.

Turkmenistan’s gas delivery to Iran has “temporarily stopped,” the state-run Shana news agency said, citing a statement from the National Iranian Gas Co. Authorities in Ashgabat and Baku are negotiating to “resolve the issue” and “gas swaps will resume once an agreement is reached,” it said, without providing further details.
