The Trump administration announced that wind and solar projects must go through heightened oversight to implement provisions of the recently passed tax law and an executive order.
The reconciliation law cut tax credits for clean energy projects while the executive order directed agencies to eliminate subsidies for renewable projects.
“The Department of the Interior is ending preferential treatment for unreliable, subsidy-dependent wind and solar energy,” the department said in a statement.
