Interior, Equinor Sued Over Empire Wind Offshore Project Revival

Environmental groups and fisheries challenged the Interior Department’s decision to resurrect Equinor ASA’s Empire Wind 1 project off the New York and New Jersey coasts.

The reversal of the April presidential stop work order on the offshore wind project was an “extraordinary and unprecedented turnabout” that “violated the Administrative Procedure Act,” according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of New Jersey.
