Industry, Green Groups Push for Rules on Climate-Warming Gas

Industry and environmental groups are calling on the Biden administration to craft nationwide standards for planet-warming gases used in air conditioning and refrigeration.

The Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute, the Natural Resources Defense Council, Environmental Investigation Agency, and others on Tuesday filed petitions for the Environmental Protection Agency to set standards for hydrofluorocarbons under the American Innovation and Manufacturing Act, passed in 2020.
