Indiana Natural Gas Pipeline Approval Upheld by D.C. Circuit (1)

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission reasonably approved a natural gas pipeline in Indiana as part of the state’s plan to transition away from coal, the D.C. Circuit held Tuesday.

FERC “acted lawfully and reasonably when conducting the environmental analysis and assessing the public convenience and necessity for the pipeline,” Judge Neomi Rao wrote for the the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
