House Vote on Faster Environmental Reviews Slated for Next Week

The House next week will vote on bipartisan legislation that would streamline the environmental review process for energy projects.

A notice announcing consideration of H.R. 4776 during the week of Dec. 15 was posted on the official House document site Thursday. Other energy-related bills are expected to be considered as well, according to the notice.

Next week’s anticipated House vote on H.R. 4776 marks the first big test of lawmakers’ renewed efforts this year to revive the bipartisan goal of improving the lengthy and often cumbersome federal permitting process.
