A spending bill to fund several agencies that the House passed Dec. 17 would include near-record spending for the Environmental Protection Agency and increase Energy Department programs for clean energy, nuclear energy, and fossil fuels.
The appropriations package for the EPA, Energy Department and other agencies passed 297-120 in the House and will be taken up in the Senate later this week.
