House Natural Resources to Focus on Climate, Justice Issues

Climate change and environmental justice legislation will top the agenda for the House Committee on Natural Resources in the 117th Congress.

Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) intends to remain committee chair for the next term and there are no challengers, committee spokesman Adam Sarvana said. The committee will focus most on justice and oversight, regardless of the outcome of the presidential election, Sarvana said ahead of the election. The committee is responsible for overseeing the Interior Department and other federal land management agencies.
