House Republicans unveiled their own slate of climate measures this week to counter Democratic proposals as President Joe Biden has made combating global warming a top priority of his administration.
The Agriculture Committee minority offered five bills that aim to encourage private-sector partnerships in conservation and to help farmers protect the health of soil, among other initiatives. GOP members on the Natural Resources Committee proposed another measure aimed at reducing America’s reliance on imported critical minerals.
