HILL ENERGY BRIEFING: WRDA Offers Climate Resilience Opportunities

Congress should empower the Army Corps to better incorporate climate resilience and natural infrastructure into its restoration, flood mitigation, and navigation projects, a witness will tell a House panel today, Kellie Lunney reports.

Julie Hill-Gabriel, vice president for water conservation of the National Audubon Society, will testify along with several witnesses before a House Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittee on the 2022 Water Resources Development Act. This is the second WRDA 2022 hearing the panel has held, and it’s planning a third in the coming weeks with lawmakers about their priorities for the biennial legislation.
