Heavy Truck Emission Limits Bolstered by Mayors, Medical Groups

US cities, medical societies, and clean transportation advocates were among the parties that filed a bevy of briefs in a federal appeals court in support of the Biden administration’s rule limiting emissions from heavy-duty trucks.

The public health benefits from the Environmental Protection Agency’s final tailpipe emissions rule far outweigh adjustment pains for the trucking industry, the groups told the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday.
