Environmental groups plan to sue California’s fire response agency and a family timber company over a logging permit granted in Sonoma County that would clear mature redwood trees.
The Center for Biological Diversity and Friends of Gualala River on Wednesday sent a notice of intent to sue in U.S. District Court to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire) and Gualala Redwood Timber Co.
