Group Loses Bid to Halt Updated Environmental Review Rules

The Trump administration can move forward on its own timeline with proposed changes to federal regulations for environmental reviews, after a court on Monday rejected environmentalists’ effort to stall the plan.

A federal judge denied the Southern Environmental Law Center’s request for a preliminary injunction that would have forced the White House Council on Environmental Quality to extend the public comment period for proposed changes to National Environmental Policy Act regulations.
