Group Asks Court to Remove Parks Director After Pendley Decision

Two environmental groups on Thursday asked a federal court to remove acting National Park Service director Margaret Everson after a Montana federal court found last month that the land bureau’s acting chief was serving illegally.

Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility and the Western Watersheds Projects filed an expedited motion for partial summary judgment in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in a case seeking Everson’s removal.
