Green New Deal Backers Seek Earth Day Boost

The Green New Deal is coloring this year’s Earth Day.

  • Progressive backers of the ambitious climate change blueprint (H.Res. 109, S.Res. 59) are using the annual conservation celebration to try to boost public interest in a measure that continues to attract House Democratic supporters, but that has drawn just one Senate co-sponsor—Maryland Democrat Chris Van Hollen—since its introduction.
