A coalition of environmental and public interest groups filed a lawsuit Monday against New York state, accusing the government of “stonewalling necessary climate action” in violation of a 2019 climate law.
The groups say the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation “suddenly and inexplicably” dropped its plan to issue regulations that gave the law teeth.
